We were fortunate to have great weather this weekend in January for our PKB Foundation Classic at Mid Pines Inn and Golf Club!  Temperatures were in the 50s and 60s and the course was very dry considering the amount of snow and rain we’ve had this month!
Winning the Bell Series was Caroline Wrigley (Wexford, PA 2019) with rounds of 85-76-161 which gave her a two stroke victory over Mackenzie Battle (Aberdeen, NC 2018) and Peyton Gillespie (Greenville, SC 2019) who tied at 163.  In fourth place was …

The weather could not have been better for golf over the course of the tournament!  Temperatures today remained in the low 70s and the players enjoyed some blue skies and sunshine towards the conclusion of play.  We were very fortunate for such ideal conditions in late December.  The real treat of the day came during the awards ceremony, when Miss Peggy Kirk Bell joined us in the tournament room to congratulate our top-five players in each series.  The girls were all very excited to meet her and …

We are grateful for the weather holding out for us today during round one of the PKB Junior at Pine Needles Lodge and Golf Club.  With temperatures in the 60s and 70s all day, we couldn’t have asked for better conditions for play!
Leading the Bell Series is Ashley Czarnecki (Greenville, SC 2016) with a one-over par 72.  She made four birdies on the day and plenty of pars to go with them.  In second place by only one stroke at 73 is Jodee Tindal (Rock Hill, SC …

We were promised an exciting finish to the Tournament of Champions today and our players did not disappoint us!  At the end of 36 holes of tournament play, the top-three leaders from the Bell Series found themselves in a three-way tie for first place at six-over par (150).   Those players were Aneka Seumanutafa (Fredrick, MD 2019), Brynn Walker (St. Davids, PA 2016) and Sarina Sonoda (Florence, SC 2016).  The playoff began on the monstrous 18th hole of Pinehurst No. 8, an uphill 395 yard par-four that played …

Round One of the 2016 PKBGT Tournament of Champions is in the books!  Difficult course conditions and weather played a factor in today’s scores.  Early morning wind and cold temperatures combined with some testy pin positions added to the challenge of Pinehurst No. 8.   Good putting will prove to be the difference in this tournament.
In the Bell Series, Aneka Seumanutafa (Frederick, MD 2019) leads by one stroke with a 73 over Brynn Walker (St. Davids, PA 2016) with a 74.  Both players played consistently all day, making …
