The Jacksonville Country Club Board of Directors have announced the dates for the eight annual Jimmy Anderson Girls’ Invitational to honor Mr. Jimmy Anderson for his service as golf professional at Jacksonville Country Club and his dedication and support of junior golf. The event will be a 36-hole stroke play tournament for junior female golfers between the ages of 12 – 18 who have not finished high school.  The tournament will be contested October 1-2, 2016 at Jacksonville Country Club in Jacksonville, NC.

  Lexington High School won  the WSCGA Junior Foundation High School Invitational by 6-strokes over their nearest competitors. The team started the round with a 7- stroke lead over Bishop England. Gracyn Burgess, the most senior player, lead the team with rounds of 67 & 71 for a total of 6-under, 138, which was also the lowest total score of all the participants. On September 24, 2016 the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour played Middle Atlantic One-Day Series event at Regency at Dominion Valley in Haymarket, VA. This executive course, designed by Arnold Palmer, tests you on every shot with hazards, bunkers, and small greens; par for the day was 62.

On September 24, 2016 the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour will play the Middle Atlantic One-Day Series event at the Regency at Dominion Valley.  The course was designed by Arnold Palmer and features wide fairways and gorgeous mountains views!  There are 21 players  in the field and will include the Futures and  Discovery Series.
Featured in the Futures Series this weekend are Parker Perry (Richmond, VA 2020), Alice Zou (Potomac, MD 2022), and Shalie Williams (Shawboro, NC 2018).  Perry is currently ranked 135th on the PKBGT Performance Index and won the …

Fifth Annual WSCGA Junior Golf Foundation Invitational
 
Seventy-five junior girl golfers from 30 high schools throughout South Carolina will be competing for both individual and team honors the weekend of September 24-25 at the Fifth Annual High School Invitational hosted by the Junior Golf Foundation of the Women’s South Carolina Golf Association.  The event will be held again this year at The Sanctuary at Cat Island, Beaufort, SC.
