On Friday, July 29, the 2016 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour plays the One-Day Open Series at Bermuda Run Country Club (West Course). The PKBGT returned to action on July 23-24 with the Hampton Roads Classic at Cahoon Plantation Golf Club.  Cahoon has served as one of the practice courses for the Old Dominion University women’s golf team.  It is also home to the Girls Golf site of Hampton Roads.

On Sunday-Monday, July 31st-August 1st, the PKBGT will play the Bash at the Beach Classic @ River Landing.  The course is home to the University of North Carolina Wilmington golf teams.  The facility features two championship courses, the River and Landing Course.  The PKBGT will host the event at the River Course.

Bryan Park, home of the UNCG women’s golf team, is a brilliant course for this one day tournament. The event features a field 31 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour .

Blue skies were the story for day 2 of the inaugural 2GG Apparel Championship at Coastal Carolina University’s Hackler Course.  Following threatening skies on Saturday, the players were given a reprieve by Mother Nature and had great scoring conditions for the final round.

A storm could not slow down the PKBGT players as low scores were the story of the day.  The inaugural 2GG Apparel Championship at Coastal Carolina University’s Hackler Course completed day 1 of the 36 hole events.  2GG Apparel, a clothing line and new sponsor of the PKBGT, was founded by MLB All-Star pitcher Russ Ortiz after his retirement in 2010.  Oritz is an avid golfer and 100% of the proceeds from 2GG Apparel are donated to charity.
