The PKBGT returns to action with the Futures Series Open Championship at Spona Ridge Country Club.  The field brings together 39 players from four different states.  Sapona Ridge, host to many Carolinas junior and amateur events, is a demanding course for this two-day tournament and great location for the event.

On Saturday, May 21st the PKBGT is set to play the second North Carolina One-Day Series event at Pinehurst No. 9.  The course, designed by Jack Nicklaus in 1988, was the latest course added to Pinehurst Resort.  The course was known as National Golf Club before it was taken over by the resort in 2014.  Players from three states, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia will tee it up in the Sandhills!

On Saturday-Sunday, May 28-29, the 2016 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour plays the PKBGT Collegiate Series Event #1 at Country Club of Salisbury. Salisbury, home of the Catawba College women’s golf team, is a tricky course for this two-day tournament. The event features a field 12 alumni players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour .

On Saturday-Monday, May 28-30, the 2016 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour plays the PKBGT BELL OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS at Country Club of Salisbury. Salisbury, home of the Catawba College women’s golf team, is a tricky course for this three-day tournament. The event features a field 44 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour . The event, ranked by the GolfWeek/Titliest national rankings, is the third championship tournament of the 2016 season.

On Sunday, May 15th, the PKBGT concluded play the Carolina’s Classic  at Forest Oaks Country Club in Greensboro, NC.  This course is known for the PGA Tour event that was held there for 30 years: the Wyndham Championship, formerly known as the Greater Greensboro Chrysler Classic, and the Greater Greensboro Open (GGO). The field featured 49 girls from 5 states.

Heritage Hills, host of the state’s Interscholastic Athletic Association state championship for over 10 years and host to many prestigious junior tournament, is a great course for this two-day tournament.
